Baby Items Needed - June 23, 2020

Our Parenting Initiative program has started and we are already mentoring women in the Earn While You Learn program. There are a variety of items needed for our baby gift bags and program boutique. If you would like to bless a mother and her baby with one or more of these items, they can be dropped off at the Clinic during open hours (Mon-Fri, 9 am to 5 pm).

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Hope Pregnancy Clinic holds the safety of our patients, volunteers, donors and employees as a top priority. We are not an urgent care clinic, and we do not have the facilities or staff to care for clients who have or may have been in contact with others who have COVID-19. As a result, and in an effort to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we are taking the following actions:

1. We are unable to see anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, congestion), or has traveled outside the United States in the past 14 days. Patients who fit these criteria are to reschedule their appointments. Likewise, we ask our donors & partners who fit these criteria to stay home.

2.  We are screening all patients and visitors before allowing them to enter the center. We ask donors who may want to contribute diapers, wipes, maternity clothes and other support, to please call us at 503-364-2464 before coming to the clinic.

3. We are currently seeing patients for pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, maternity clothes and baby supplies.

4. We have implemented stringent sanitizing practices at the clinic, well beyond our common day-to-day practices.

If you are having symptoms, we encourage you to call your doctor. If you do not have a doctor, and think you may have been infected with COVID-19, please call your county’s health department.

Volunteer as an Advocate (Options Counseling)

Advocates serve a regular weekly 4 hour shift and provide options counseling and other patient support. Our advocates need to be highly discerning, full of compassion and great listeners. For more information, or to schedule an interview, please fill out the volunteer form on our "Partner with Hope" page. Questions? Contact Beth Maurer at beth@hopeforsalem.org.
